The Lodge Café
About This Spot
Stepping into The Lodge Café, nestled just by Hyde Park Corner, you’re greeted by the soothing rhythm of a spot that’s quietly alive yet unhurried. It strikes a delicate balance between the timeless charm of a neighborhood café and the approachable buzz of a friendly bar, making it a place where momentary escapes and casual connections feel equally possible.
The atmosphere hums with a gentle pulse—not overly polished, but warm and inviting, like a tucked-away living room where the clink of coffee cups and soft murmur of conversation form a familiar soundtrack. Here, time slows just enough for you to savor small pleasures: the rich aroma of freshly brewed white Americano coffee mingling with the sweet spice of chai lattes, or the subtle tartness of a well-loved cider enjoyed at a window seat overlooking the city’s rhythm.
On the menu, thoughtful twists invite you to explore familiar flavors with a fresh eye. Whether you’re settling in with a veggie English breakfast that feels nourishing rather than fussy, or indulging in the cozy comfort of a warming mince pie or a flaky Cornish pastry, there’s a quiet authenticity to the offerings. Those seeking plant-based options find warmth in dishes like the vegan sausage roll or pizza, speak to a consideration that extends beyond trend to genuine care.
The Lodge serves as a meeting ground for different moments—early mornings filled with the gentle murmur of herbal teas and croissants, late afternoons punctuated by the sparkle of a Meantime London lager or mulled wine, and in-between times marked by a fresh-squeezed orange juice that carries its own simple joy. The occasional service quirks only emphasize the human element here—a reminder this is a place where the pace is measured more by connection than perfection.
For anyone passing through, whether a visitor drawn by the proximity to Hyde Park or a local seeking a familiar nook, The Lodge Café offers a quietly layered experience. It's less about the flash and more about the find—a spot that invites you to breathe, taste, and be part of its ongoing story, one quietly meaningful moment at a time.

I ordered vegetable soup, they brought me chicken soup, and I said don’t worry and ate it anyway, it was home made and absolutely DELICIOUS. It came with an odd slice of cheap white toast and no butter. I asked if there is butter, they looked surprised ‘do you want some?’ I said yes please and got butter but no knife. Very odd service and overpriced sandwiches and dry looking Cornish pasties but the SOUP was amazing, I will be back. Nice setting on the edge of Hyde Park

It's anxiety Hyde park entrance so it's the location is very nice. Ambience also is very nice. Although the customer services not that great. I just bought a bottle of fresh orange juice from there and it was very fresh and orangey.
